CPCB Graduate, Joshua Kangas, launches company

While completing his degree in the CPCB program, Joshua Kangas, Ph.D. teamed up with Professor Robert F. Murphy, Ph.D. to create and patent the Computational Research Engine (CoRE).  CoRE is a big data analytics technology that facilitates drug discovery while dramatically lowering experimentation costs. The pair later partnered with Scott Bodine and Geoffrey Hoare to found Quantitative Medicine.

Kangas had the opportunity to present his work when SLAS awarded Quantitative Medicine (and seven other companies) with exhibit space on SLAS Innovation AveNEW at SLAS2014 in San Diego, CA. SLAS supports start-up companies by offering qualified applicants: complimentary exhibit space, full conference registrations, travel, and hotel accommodations.
